new projects
I'm ecstatic that my first solo show was such a success! I'm so grateful to everyone who came to the opening and especially grateful to those who bought paintings! Thank you all!!!

Now that the dust has settled, I'm looking ahead to two new projects. In September I will be curating an Art Bitch group show at Heart of Gold here in Chicago. Art Bitch, as some of you know, is the art critique/support group I co-founded with my friend Hanah Diab in 2001. The five artists in the group are: Hanah, Scott David Johnson, Laura Hagihara, Kim Frieders, and myself (Click on their names to view their work). We meet monthly to show and critique new work, discuss art issues and the challenges emerging artists face today, and have fun at the same time. We pride ourselves in being brutally (but constructively) honest with each other in our critiques. We all feel the group definitely helps in our development as artists. I’m looking forward to our group show’s opening party on September 15th. We will be having Live Band Karaoke there that night as well so it will definitely be a night to remember!

I’m also participating in Around the Coyote this year. They have moved the Festival date to October 11-14 to coincide with Chicago Artists’ Month. I will be creating a series of wood panels specifically for the show so I’d better get crackin’!

I’ll be sending out announcements for both shows as the dates approach…
